Helen Naomi “Maw” Elsea, age 83 of Sale Creek, passed away Tuesday April 28, 2015. She was born October 5, 1931 in Sale Creek to the late Roy and Mattie (Tabors) Hinkle. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Levere Elsea, and her son Larry Elsea.
Maw was a resident of Sale Creek all her life. She had been employed at Dixie Yarns and enjoyed reading. She was a member of the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son Stanley Elsea of Sale Creek; two grandchildren, Kelly (James) Coleman and Francis (Tommy) Vaughn; three great grandchildren Ariel (Tommy) Luse, Emanuel Vaughn and Emmy Vaughn.
Funeral services for Maw will be held Friday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Emory Layne and Rev. David Cunningham officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Rhea Memory Gardens.

The family is being cared for by the Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton where they will receive friends Friday from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
