H.D. Dillard, age 69, of Dayton, went to be with his Lord Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at his home. He was born October 3, 1943 in Dayton, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents, Humphrey and Frances (Allen) Dillard, two brothers, Carlos Dillard and Johnny Dillard, and one infant sister, Pearl Dillard.
A resident of Rhea County all his life, H. D. served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He worked at Combustion Engineering where he retired after 30 years. H.D. owned Dillard Asphalt Sealing for 15 years. He was a member of Ekklesia Bible Tabernacle.
H.D. is survived by his wife of 47 years, Wanda (Sneed) Dillard, two daughters, Terri (Kami) Keoho of Clarksville, and Shannon (Marty) Williams of Dayton, six grandchildren, Aubrie (Paul) Keoho Fisher of Maryland, Blaine Keoho of Florida, Keili Keoho and Caleb Keoho, both of Clarksville, Kaitlyn Williams and Sidney Williams of Dayton, one sister, Margie (Odean) Lawson, one brother, Robert (Robyn) Dillard, both of Spring City, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services, with military honors, for H.D. will be held Saturday at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Gary Dillard and Rev. James Collier officiating. He will be laid to rest in Rhea Memory Gardens.
