Harvey Dennis Yearwood age 75 of Soddy Daisy went to be with his Lord Jesus Christ at his home Saturday morning, October 17, 2015. Harvey was born in Sweetwater on February 24, 1940, the son of the late Richard and Ersa (Watson) Yearwood and was also preceded in death by his wife, Shirley (King) Yearwood and his great-grandson Brock Dennison Lord.
Harvey lived in Soddy Daisy for many years and retired as a truck driver. He enjoyed woodworking and he was a Christian.
He is survived by his children, Michelle (Rev. Mike) Palmer of Idaho, Barry (Debbie) Yearwood of Ringgold, GA, Lyle (Shawn Lowe) Yearwood of Chattanooga and Hope (Billy) Bowman of Graysville. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Brittney (Ellis) Lord of Chattanooga, Zeb (Joy) Palmer of Idaho and Michelle Bowman and Koti Bowman of Graysville, great-grandchildren, Matthew Lord, Clayton Lord, Ian Palmer and Jayda Anderson, his brothers, Joe (Margaret) Yearwood of Dayton, Gary (Darlene) Yearwood of Soddy and his sister Brenda (Bobby) Wilson of Evensville.
Funeral services for Harvey will be held Tuesday at 12 noon in the funeral home chapel with his son-in-law, Pastor Mike Palmer officiating. He will be laid to rest next to his wife in the Wilcoxen Cemetery in Soddy Daisy.
