Harriett O’Kelley Jones, age 83 of Hixson, died Thursday, September 29, 2011 at Standifer Place. She was born May 10, 1928 in Buford, GA to the late Everett and Ida Mae (Power) O’Kelley. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Charles O’Kelley and James O’Kelley and sister Mary O’Kelley.
Harriett is survived by her husband of 63 years Henry Jones of Hixson, sons Steve (Theresa) Jones of Baltimore, MD and David Jones of Chattanooga, daughter Connie (Terry) Norwood of Athens, GA, grandsons Andrew Jones, Cody Jones, Zachary Jones and Justin Reuther, granddaughters Leslie Norwood Vaughn, Holly Norwood Samples and Megan Jones Brock, sister Martha Fanning and several nephews and nieces.
Harriett worshipped at the Clear Creek Church of Christ.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 2:00 pm at the Martin Boyd Christian Home, 6845 Standifer Gap Rd., Chattanooga, TN.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Martin Boyd Christian Home.
