Harold Joe Riley

June 20, 1932 — June 8, 2007

Harold Joe Riley age 74 of Dayton, died at Memorial Hospital on Friday, June 8, 2007. Joe was born in Dayton the son of the late Jesse Carl and Alma (Burchard) Riley and was also preceded in death by his wife, the former Ruth (Swack) Riley and his brother, Carl Kenneth Riley.

Joe attended Dayton City School and then graduated from the Rhea Central High School. He then served his country with the US Army during the Korean War. Joe attended the Graysville Church of Christ and retired from TVA.

Joe is survived by his sister, Margaret Millard of Dayton and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Joe will be held Monday morning at 11:00am in the funeral home chapel with Minister Clint Etherton officiating. Burial will follow next to his wife in Buttram Cemetery.

The family is being served by the Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton where they will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 2:00 until 5:00pm.
