Harold Crisp
Pastor Garland Harold Crisp age 86 of Dayton died Monday evening February 9, 2016 at home. Harold was born in Spring City January 31, 1930 to the late Garland and Josie (Robinson) Crisp. He is also preceded in death by his wife Geraldine “Jerry” (Edgar) Crisp, his son Steve Crisp, daughter Jody Pilcher, two sisters Maxine Turner and Jo Lapham.
Harold was a resident of Dayton for the past forty-one years. He was the owner of Crisp and Sons Battery Company. He also was the founder and pastor of Blessed Hope Baptist Church for thirty-seven years. He was a member of Bogles Chapel Baptist Church. He loved selling produce at the courthouse after he retired.
He is survived by two sons; David (Annette) Crisp of Dayton, Jeremy (Shelia) Crisp of Dayton eleven grand children, great-grand children, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held in the chapel of the funeral home Wednesday afternoon at 1:00pm officiated by Pastor Aaron Revis, Brother Jeff Parrott and Dr. James Jones. He will be laid to rest in the Spring City Cemetery.
