Glenna Williams

Glenna (Sharpe) Williams, age 94, of Brayton Mountain, died Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at Quiet Oaks Assisted Living on Graysville Mountain. Glenna was born August 28, 1913 in Battle Creek, Michigan, the daughter of the late Benjamin and Avis Belle (Williams) Sharpe. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, George A. Goodner and her second husband, Floyd Leroy Williams.

Glenna received a degree in Education from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and taught elementary school. She was a member of the SDA Outdoor Club of the Carolinas, the Prime Time Singers and the Brayton Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Glenna is survived by her daughter, Cathryn Annette Harris of Odenville, AL and her son Dennis Wayne Goodner of Maryville, TN.

Funeral services for Glenna will be held Thursday at 1:00 pm at the Brayton Seventh Day Adventist Church with Pastor Larry Owens officiating.
