Glenn Colvin

March 12, 1925 — March 4, 2010

Glenn Wildred Colvin, age 84 of Dayton Mountain, died at her home Thursday evening March 4, 2010. Glenn was born in Dickson County, TN on March 12, 1925 the daughter of the late Allen and Vera (Collier) Spann. She was also preceded in death by her husband John R. Colvin.
Glenn enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking and reading and was a long time member of the Home Demonstration Club where she was a past president. She had lived on Dayton Mountain for many years and was a member of the Ogden Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, John Allen Colvin of Dayton Mountain, her two daughters, Janice Smith of Hixson and Anita Frazier of Soddy-Daisy, five grandchildren, Stephanie Smith of Hixson, Jessica Efta of Seattle, WA, Joshua Colvin and John Michael Colvin both of Chattanooga and Cody Frazier of Soddy-Daisy.
Funeral services for Mrs. Colvin will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:00pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jerry Levengood and Rev. Lowell Rice officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Rigsby Cemetery on Dayton Mountain followed by a white dove release.
The family is being served by the Vanderwall Funeral Home where they will receive friends Friday from 4:00pm until 8:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rigsby Cemetery or to Hospice of Chattanooga.
