Dr. Glen David Turner, age 90, of Dayton, passed away Friday morning, February 2, 2018 at Laurelbrook. He was born December 11, 1927 in Port of Spain, Trinidad to the late Donald Dunbar and Faith Estella (Hollingsworth)Turner. He was also preceded in death by his wife Eugenya “Jeanie” (Silversten) Turner.
Dr. Turner taught at Bryan College from 1973-1974. He and his wife were missionaries in Ecuador and he was a Wycliff missionary before and after teaching at Bryan. He received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Westmont College and his Ph.D. at University of Indiana in Bloomington, IN.
He was a member of Grace Bible Church.
He is survived by his three daughters, Bitsy Turner of Dayton, Esther (Dale) Leslie of Wyoming and Rebecca (Steve) Buchanan of Virginia, two sons, David (Lesa) Turner of Tennessee and Donald (Cathy) Turner of Texas, two sisters, Joy Tuggy of South Carolina and Lucille (Dick) Cole of Illinois, fifteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He will be laid to rest in Buttram Cemetery.
