Gladys Carey

Gladys Fern Carey age 94 of Dayton died Sunday July 16, 2006 in Laurelbrook Nursing Home. She was born in Union, Iowa June 16, 1912 the daughter of the late John and Mary (Simmons) Welling. She was also preceded in death by her husband Clarence E. Carey.

Gladys lived in Dayton since 1995 where she was a homemaker. She was a volunteer missionary with Cedine Bible Camp and attended Grace Bible Church.

She is survived by her three daughters, Mary Carey and Frances Carey of Dayton and Carolyn (Walt) Reardon of Biloxi, MS, two grandsons, James T. and Joseph S. Reardon.

Funeral services for Gladys will be held Tuesday evening at 8pm in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Doug Russell and Rev. John Fields officiating. Graveside services will be held Friday July 21 at 10am in Ashland-Groesbeck Cemetery in Lorimor, Iowa.

The family is being served by Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton where they will receive friends Tuesday 6-8 pm. Donations may be made to Cedine Bible Camp in Spring City, TN.
