Gifford Fuller

Gifford L. Fuller, age 60 of Sale Creek went Home to be with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, at his home Monday morning, January 26, 2009 surrounded by his family. Gifford was born in Sale Creek on November 19, 1948 the son of the late Tillman and Frances (Sluss) Fuller. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Charles Fuller and an infant sister, Janice Fuller.

Gifford was a life long resident of Sale Creek and graduated from Sale Creek High School. He served his country with the US Army and was a member of the Sale Creek Church of God. He was the owner and operator of Fuller’s Place in Sale Creek. Gifford was a member of the Dayton Golf & Country Club, enjoyed the World Poker Tour and was an avid Tennessee Vols fan.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy (Edmondson) Fuller of Sale Creek, his daughter, Tammy (Richard) Parks of Chattanooga, two sons, Gifford Lee (fiance’ Pam Perry) Fuller of Sale Creek and Matthew Fuller of Knoxville. Gifford is also survived by his sister, Connie Goins of Decatur, his brother, John (Pat) Fuller of Sale Creek, three grandchildren, Kaitlyn Fuller, Isabella Parks and Lillian Parks along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral service for Gifford will be held Wednesday evening at 7:00pm at the Sale Creek Church of God with Rev. Jack Brown, Dr. Mike Fuller, Rev. Terry Bolton and Bishop Kenneth Bolton officiating concluding with Military Honors. Graveside services followed by a white dove release will be held Thursday morning at 11:00am in the Welsh-Rogers Cemetery in Sale Creek.

Gifford’s family will receive friends at the church Wednesday beginning at 4:00pm.

The family is being served by the Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton.
