Gary Gilbert Woody

Gary Gilbert Woody, age 65 of Dayton, died Friday February 4, 2011 at his home. He was born July 24, 1945 in Washington County, TN to the late James and Blanche (Pleasant) Woody. He was also preceded in death by his four brothers, E.J., Henry, Wayne and Lynn Woody.
Gary lived in Dayton most of his life and worked in construction at Watts Bar Nuclear Plant. He was a member of the Garrison Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years Geraldean Stinnett Woody, brothers Dan Woody of Cleveland, TN, Paul Woody of Athens, TN and Bill (Mary Sue) Woody of Dayton, sisters Lena Earls of Cleveland, TN, Holly Carter, Irene (Rev. Claude) Swatzell and Priscilla (Scott) Clark all of Greenville, TN and god-daughter Kayla Adams.
Funeral services for Gary will be held Sunday at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Claude Swatzell and Rev. Tim Woody officiating. Burial will be in the Montgomery Cemetery.

The family is being served by the Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton where they will receive friends Saturday from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm.
