Gary Dwight Hoefler, age 75 of Dayton Mountain, passed away Saturday, December 19, 2020 in Dayton, TN. He was born in Moline, IL on July 23, 1945, the son of the late Dwight William Hoefler and Hazel Mae (Bauders) Hoefler. Gary was also preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ann (Carlton) Hoefler.
Gary lived in Dayton Mountain and previously lived in Pennfield, MI. He was a Pipefitter at Michigan Paperboard in Battle Creek, MI for over 20 years. Later became a Car Salesman, worked for the Battle Creek Honda dealership for many years, and was a Truck Driver for Volunteer Trucking until retiring in 2010.
He is survived by his son, Matthew (Majesta) Dwight Hoefler of Spencer, WV; his daughter, Kimberly Ann (Kevin) Thompson of Chattanooga, TN; and his grandchildren, Raina Hoefler, Samuel Hoefler, Matthew Hoefler II all of Spencer, WV and Aylen Thompson and Andrew Thompson both of Chattanooga, TN.
Gary will be laid to rest next to his wife Barbara at Rigsby Cemetery in Pikeville, TN.
