Garren Wayne Flippo, age 24, of Soddy-Daisy, died Thursday, December 20, 2012. He was born April 24, 1988 in Chattanooga to Gary Flippo and Lisa Denton.
Garren graduated from Sequoyah High School in Soddy-Daisy and had been employed as a pipefitter and a tree trimmer. He loved his S-10 pickup, music, hiking, the color red, anything with cheese on it and good times with good friends.
He was a member of Sale Creek United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his father Gary (Jan) Flippo of Cleveland, mother Lisa Denton of Soddy-Daisy, sister Kayla Flippo of Sale Creek, grandmother Mary “Mickey” Bell of Sale Creek, two step-sisters Emily (Adam) Green of Athens and Erica Jolly of Cleveland, aunts Joy (Bruce) Cox of Crossville, Carrie (Lee) Porter of Soddy-Daisy, Alisa (Mike) Price of Cleveland and Sandy (Johnny) Riley of Bakewell, uncles Richard Denton of Graysville and Larry Flippo of Bakewell and numerous cousins.
Funeral services for Garren will be held Saturday at 12:00 noon in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Cecil Baxter and Rev. Archie David Poole officiating. He will be laid to rest in New Providence Cemetery in Sale Creek.
