Frieda Mae Gadd, age 78, of Graysville, passed away Wednesday morning June 26, 2019 at her home in Graysville. She was born on May 22, 1941 in Dunlap, the daughter of the late William Jackson Harvey, Sr. and Mae (Snyder) Harvey. Frieda was also preceded in death by her husband Clarence E. Gadd and brothers William Jackson, Jr., Winford Charles Harvey, Wesley Lee Harvey and Howard Eugene Harvey.
Frieda moved to Graysville from Hamilton County in 1960. She designed and built Creek Site Trailer Park with the late Frank Vetter. There she touched the lives of so many, and always took care of those she loved. Frieda was a member of Graysville Church of God.
She is survived by her long-time companion Garland Miles and his family; her children, Sheila (David) Vickers and Lisa Cox both of Graysville; her sisters, Betty Harvey Johnson and Peggy (Roy) Irwin both of Soddy Daisy, and Angie (Mark) Johnson of Brighton, TN; her grandchildren, Star (Zach) Levi, Dominique (Matthew) Drake, Kimmy (Josh) Williams, Jacob Hensley, Joseph (Gabrielle) Berry; her great-grandchildren, James (Regan) Creasman, Cheyenne Creasman, Zeke Levi, Natalie Williams, Ethan Williams, Destiny Williams, Bri Hickey, Aleea Drake and Kinsley Whittington; and her great-great-grandchildren, Garrett and Kade.
Funeral services for Frieda will be held Saturday at 12:00 noon in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jimmy Talley officiating. She will be laid to rest in Shubird Cemetery on Lewis Chapel Mountain.
