Franklin Patten

Franklin Lewis Patten of Sale Creek, died Wednesday April 23, 2008 at Erlanger Medical Center, Chattanooga, TN. Franklin was born November 1, 1942 in Sale Creek, the son of the late Ira and Carrie (Miller) Patten. He was also preceded in death by his brothers Jack, Jim, Ernest and Gene Patten and his sister Grace Payne.

Franklin lived in Sale Creek all his life and was an electrician. He retired from River City Electric and ABC Electric and was a member of the Local 175 I.B.E.W.

Franklin is survived by his wife of 45 years Brenda (Hawkins) Patten, son Jeffery (Robin) Patten, three grandchildren Macy, Brandon and Jena, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Mary and Steve Hodge of Sale Creek and Shelby and David Mahaffey of Bakewell as well as several nieces and nephews and good friends.

Funeral services for Franklin will be held Saturday at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Alan Stuart officiating. Burial will follow in the Rhea Memory Gardens.
