Franklin Mackie Knox, age 74 of Spring City, passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2022, at his home. He was born in Spring City on April 26, 1947, the son of the late Franklin Knox and Hattie Kate (Vineyard) Knox. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Patricia (Fugate) Knox.
Franklin lived all of his life in Spring City, was a graduate of Spring City High School, and served his country in the US Army. He was employed at a rock quarry as a heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed woodworking, was a member of Dayton Masonic Lodge 512 F&AM, and was a member of Yellow Creek Baptist Church in Spring City.
He is survived by his son, John Paul (Angela) Knox of Spring City; his sister, Sandra McIntosh of Illinois; his two grandsons, Casey Knox and Bradley Powell, both of Spring City; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services with military honors for Franklin will be held on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Aaron Britt officiating.
