Rev. Franklin David Good, age 77, of Sale Creek went home to be with his Lord early Thursday March 20, 2014 in Chattanooga. He was born November 4, 1936 in Chicago, IL to the late Omar and Gertrude (Roe) Good.
A long time resident of Sale Creek, Rev. Good was the former pastor of Community Holiness Church in Dayton, a musician in area singings and a vocalist with the “Singing Witnesses”. He retired as a cross country truck driver and loved baseball. Rev. Good served his country in the US Army for four years in Alaska.
Rev. Good is survived by his wife of 50 years, Patsy (Yearwood) Good of Sale Creek; his son, Matt (Julie) Good of Dayton; his two daughters, Anita Crittenden of Birchwood and Jenny Good of Sale Creek; his sister, Betty (Joe) Harris of Spring Hill, FL; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services and committal, with military honors will be held Friday at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Audie May and Rev. Mike Edwards officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
