Floyd Broyles Housley, age 85 of Dayton passed away Tuesday evening January 19, 2016 at Erlanger. He was born April 24, 1930 to the late James and Ada (Harrison) Housley. He was also preceded in death by his daughter Martha Wilhoit, son Floyd Housley and his brothers; James, Jessie, Earl and Darwin Housley, sisters; Allie Shaver, Bertie Arnold, Flora Arnold and Mary Housley.
He lived all of his life in Dayton and served his country with the U.S. Army. He retired as a boilermaker and farmer and was a member of Cranmore Cove Baptist Church.
Broyles is survived by his wife of sixty-two years, Ella Mae (Lipford) Housley of Dayton, two granddaughters; Tiffany (Matt) McClaran of Germantown and Brittany (Justin) Miller of Spring Hill, three great-grandchildren, Sophia, Myles, and Jaxson, his brother Johnny Housley of Dayton, his sister, Alma Suttles of NC and his daughter-in-law, Gwen Housley of Dayton.
Funeral services for Broyles will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:00pm in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Bobby Shafer officiating. He will be laid to rest in Rhea Memory Gardens with military honors.
