Evelyn Jeanette Hunter, age 65 of Crossville and formerly of Dayton died Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at Cumberland Medical Center in Crossville.
Evelyn was born in Dayton on July 21, 1942 the daughter of the late Noel Farris Smith and Catherine Inez (Reed) Smith. She was a resident of Dayton until moving to Crossville in 1994. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
Evelyn is survived by her son, Buddy Ray of Crossville, three daughters, Kathy Thomas of Crossville, Elizabeth Edwards of Grandview and Shawna Edmonds of Spring City, two sisters, Elizabeth Prescott of Augusta, GA and Lydia Swafford of Spring City, 13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Saturday at 12 o’clock noon at the Hurst Cemetery in Evensville with Pastor Mike Garrett officiating.
The family is being served by the Vanderwall Funeral Home where they will receive friends Friday from 4:00pm until 7:00pm.
