Eveline C. Branham, age 85 of Dayton, passed away at her home on Monday, December 23, 2024. She was born in Chattanooga on February 16, 1939, the daughter of the late Charles Thomas Cooper, Sr., and Myrtle Lee (Burton) Cooper. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Hoyt B. Branham, in 2018 and her daughter, Freda Davis.
Eveline lived most of her adult life in the Birchwood community before moving to Dayton in 2011. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and caring for others. She served as President of the Birchwood Senior Neighbors and also volunteered at Rhea County Nursing Home. She attended Hopewell Church of God, and in later years she attended Birchwood Baptist Church.
Eveline is survived by her daughter, Renee (Greg) Paolini; her granddaughters, Melissa (Aaron) Rittenhouse and Katie Davis; her son-in-law, Jerry Davis; and her great-grandchildren, Andy Rittenhouse and Kyle Rittenhouse.
The family would like to give special thanks to Evelyn’s caregivers for the love, friendship, and care they provided to her during her final years: Susie Grider and her beloved dog, Harley; Brooke Morley; and Marie Williams and her husband, Steve, and her son, Joshua.
There will be a private family service for Eveline in the funeral home parlor on Friday, December 27, 2024. She will be laid to rest in the Birchwood Baptist Church Cemetery after the family service.
