Eva Jean Parson, age 78, of Dayton passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2021, at her home. She was born on Brayton Mountain on July 31, 1942, the daughter of the late Beacher and Christine (Hunter) Kelley. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Lori Christine Guinther, and her two sisters, Reba Lovins and Roberta Kelley.
She graduated from high school in Battle Creek, Michigan, beautician’s school in Texas, and lived in Dayton most of her life. She was a hairdresser, homemaker, and retired from La-Z-Boy. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her daughter, Trinity Harris; her two sons, Joseph Parson and Tony (Tiffany) Parson, all of Dayton; nine grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. She is also survived by three brothers, Albert (Marty) Kelley of Atlanta, GA, Harold Kelley of Bellevue, MI, and Thomas Kelley of Battle Creek, MI.
Funeral services for Jean will be held on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at 7:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. John Fields officiating. She will be laid to rest in Rhea Memory Gardens on Thursday, February 25 at 12 noon.
