Euva Lee Elsea, age 90 of Sale Creek died Sunday morning February 19, 2012 at Life Care of Rhea County. Euva was born in Sale Creek on December 19, 1921 the daughter of the late Hiram and Nora (Morgan) Alsinger. She was also preceded in death by her husband William Harding Elsea who was killed in action during WWII in the South Pacific.
Euva was a graduate of Sale Creek High School and was employed as a spinner with Dixie Yarns for 42 years. She was a member of the Mount Vernon Baptist Church in Sale Creek.
She is survived by her son, Conny Mac (Barbara) Elsea, two granddaughters, Latreva (Billy) Sullivan and Katrina (Barry) McClendon, three great-grandchildren, Bobby Sullivan, Ashlen McClendon and Aiden McClendon all of Dayton. Euva is also survived by her three sisters, Laura Guinn of Cleveland, Lillian Brock of Ardmore and Juanita Aslinger of Sale Creek.
Funeral services for Euva will be held Monday evening at 7:00pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. David Cunningham officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Chattanooga National Cemetery Tuesday morning at 10:30am.
