Eugenya “Jeanie” Turner, age 91 of Dayton, passed away Monday afternoon, August 31, 2015 at Rhea Medical Center. She was born December 24, 1923 in Grand Rapids, MI to the late Sigurd and Beatrice (Snyder) Sivertsen.
She was a missionary in Ecuador most of her life before moving to Dayton where she was a member of the Grace Bible Church.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Dr. Glen David Turner of Dayton, two sons David (Lisa) Turner of Tennessee and Donald (Cathy) Turner of Texas, three daughters, Bitsy Turner of Dayton, Esther (Dale) Leslie of Wyoming and Rebecca (Steve) Buchanan of Virginia, four brothers, Bud Sivertsen, Duane Sivertsen, Ronald Sivertsen and Dick Sivertsen and two sisters, Darlene Handy and Pat Norquist, all of Michigan, fifteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She will be laid to rest in Buttram Cemetery.
