Eugenio Hernandez

Eugenio Esteban Hernandez Hernandez, age 72 of Dayton, passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at his home in Dayton. He was born on October 15, 1948 in San Juan Mixtepec, Mexico, the son of the late Demecio and Juana Hernandez.

Eugenio lived in Dayton for the past seven years and previously lived in Homestead, FL. He was a farmer and worked in the fields. Eugenio loved spending time with his family, feeding the animals, sitting outside, reading and writing. He attended the St. Bridget Catholic Church in Dayton.

He is survived by his wife, Maria Cruz Solazar; and his children, Josefina Hernandez, Martin Hernandez, Sofia Hernandez, Maria Hernandez, Elidia Hernandez, Juana Hernandez, Zenaida Hernandez and Julia Hernandez.

Funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at the St. Bridget Catholic Church in Dayton with Rev. Fr. Jim Vick officiating. He will be laid to rest at Rhea Memory Gardens in Dayton.
