Emma Earleen Cox, age 85, of Dayton, passed away Monday, July 12, 2021 at Spring City Care & Rehab. She was born on September 26, 1935 in Dayton, the daughter of the late Leonard Leroy Sneed and Ruth (Janow) Sneed. Earleen was also preceded in death by her husband, Ray Reginald Cox; her son, Jimmie Cox; daughter, Vickie Cox; grandson, William Cox; brothers, Eunice Sneed, Charles Sneed, Melvin Sneed, Alan Sneed and Calvin Sneed; and sisters, Lois Bishop, Roseleen Caraway, Jean Dotson and Connie Clayton.
Earleen lived in Dayton all of her life and worked at Robinson Manufacturing Co. in Dayton for many years.
She is survived by her son, Jackie (Sheree) Cox of Cleveland; her brother, Bobby Sneed of Dayton; sisters, Thelma Roberson, Fay Wilkey, Jane Dugger, all three of Dayton and Diane Gross of McMinnville; nine grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Earleen will be held Wednesday afternoon, July 14, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Carroll Henderson officiating. She will be laid to rest at Brown Cemetery in Dayton.
