Elizabeth (Betty) Anne Roberts, age 80 of Spring City, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at Rhea Medical Center with her family by her side. She was born in Tyrone, Ontario, Canada, on October 12, 1941, the daughter of the late William and Annie (Gardiner) Phillips. She was also preceded in death by her seven siblings, Patsy Phillips, Louis Phillips, Carole Byam, Barbara (Bille) Taylor, Marjorie (Midge) Vivian, and Randy Phillips.
Betty moved to Chattanooga in 1966 and later moved to Spring City. She was employed as a registered nurse at Memorial Hospital for over 30 years. She enjoyed playing golf, spending time with her siblings, painting, bird watching, crossword puzzles, boating and being on the lake, and spending time with her family and friends.
Betty is survived by her husband of 56 years, Larry Gene Roberts of Spring City; her two sons, Jeff Roberts and Jason Roberts, both of Chattanooga; her daughter, Susan (Brian) Glaspell of Tyrone, Ontario, Canada; and her grandchildren, Bradley (Kristin) Glaspell, Brittany Glaspell, Ben Glaspell (Lucy Hampson), Stuart (Bailey) Doss, and Alex (Brittney) Doss; and her five great-grandchildren, Wren Glaspell, Kingston Doss, Marshall Doss, Weston Glaspell, and Decklan Doss.
Funeral services for Betty will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2022, in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m. She will be laid to rest at Chattanooga National Cemetery.

The family is being cared for by Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton, TN, where they will receive friends one hour before the service.
