Elain (Wilson) Harmon, age 76 of Trion, GA, and formerly of Dayton, passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at Redmond Hospital in Rome, GA. She was born on July 10, 1945, in Vandalia, OH, the daughter of the late Leeman and Arabelle (Smith) Wilson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Alex Harmon; her brothers, Eugene Wilson and Jimmy Wilson; her sister, Jewelldean (Wilson) Johnson; and her daughter, Theresa Flores.
She lived in Dayton most of her life before moving to Trion, GA, to live with her daughter 10 years ago. Elain retired from Suburban Manufacturing.
Elain is survived by her daughter, Barbara (Willy) Culberson of Trion, GA; her two sons, Jerry (Kimberly) Harmon of Dayton and Joseph (Candi) Harmon of Spring City; her three sisters, Christine (Don) Goodwin of Vidalia, GA, Linda (Lloyd) Fox of Napa, CA, and Shirley Everett of Sale Creek, TN; her four brothers, Harry (Anita) Wilson, Tommy (June) Wilson of Dayton, Karl Wilson of Hammond, LA, and Charles Wilson of Ringgold, GA; her grandchildren, Jeremy Flores, Jacob (Jamie) Flores, Ryan Cooper, Megan (Steve) Gilreath, Emma (James) Wilson, Jenny Harmon and Jonathan Harmon; five great-grandchildren; and her special friend, Brenda Jenkins of Trion, GA.
Funeral services for Elain will be held on Saturday, September 4, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Thomas Wilson, Jr. officiating. She will be laid to rest in Brayton Cemetery on Brayton Mountain.
