Edna Faye Roberts, 87, passed away on Tuesday, May 12th, 2026. She was born on October 3, 1938, in Bledsoe County, TN, to Milton and Elizabeth Thurman Dunn. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Charles Dunn, Genevieve Daniel, Clovella Daniel, Joyce Carter, and Daniel Dunn. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 20 years, Arlean Roberts. Henry Brown, her first husband of 30 years and father of her only child, passed away just eight days before her on May 4, 2026.

Edna always enjoyed working hard. She retired from Robinson Manufacturing after 38 years where she worked in sewing and later in quality control. She enjoyed farming and gardening in her later years with her husband, Arlean. She was always an early riser, often going to McDonald’s for coffee, making it to the walking track before daylight, and then heading to work. She was an avid walker, walking many miles daily throughout much of her life and continuing to walk daily at her assisted living facility, even going on a walk the morning of her death. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Edna is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Michael James and Nyla Brown, grandsons Bradlee (Lindsey) Brown and Tyler Brown, and great-grandchildren Reagan, Owen, and Emery Brown, all of Dayton. She is also survived by a brother, Albert Dunn, of Spring City, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 15th, 2026, at 12:00 in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Danny Ruehling officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service. Burial will follow at Rhea Memory Gardens.
