Edith Pearl Hancock, age 87 of Evensville, TN died Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at her home. Edith was born February 16, 1922 in Meigs County, TN to the late Thomas Jayhugh Calbaugh and Laura Dolly Manis Calbaugh.
In addition to her parents, Edith was also preceded in death by her husband Lloyd Thaxton Hancock, Sr., daughter Mary Bilodeau and great-grandson Jacob McCulley.
Edith lived in Rhea County most of her life. She is survived by her sons Lloyd Hancock, Jr. of Evensville, Bob Hancock and Bill Hancock, both of Dayton, brothers Earl Calbaugh and Donnie Calbaugh of Dayton and Gene Calbaugh of Spring City, nine grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Edith will be Friday at 3:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Mike Justice officiating. Burial will be in the Spring City Memorial Gardens.

The family is being served by the Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton where they will receive friends Friday after 11:00 am.
