Doyle Scroggins

Doyle Edward Scroggins age 76 of Spring City died Tuesday January 2, 2007 in Erlanger North Hospital. He was born in Dayton on March 2, 1930 the son of the late Otto and Gertrude (Hurst) Scroggins.

He was a long time resident of Spring City. He served his country with the US Navy and was a retired truck driver for US Trucking. Ed was a member of Hilltop Baptist Church and enjoyed old cars, golfing and fishing.

He is survived by his wife Ozell (Whited) Scroggins of Spring City, his sons, James Scroggins of Kingston, TN. and Doug Scroggins of Chelsea, MI., two daughters, Betty Jo Taylor of Houston, TX. and Debbie McElroy of Whitmore Lake, MI. many grandchildren and great- grandchildren.

Funeral services for Ed will be held Friday at 12:00 Noon in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Rick Kirkland officiating. Burial will follow in Montgomery Cemetery in Dayton.

The family is being served by Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton where they will receive friends Thursday 2-8pm.
