Doyle Mack Argo, age 89, of Dayton, passed away peacefully with his family at his side in Knoxville, TN on Tuesday, September 1, 2020. He was born on February 28, 1931 in Newell, AL, the son of the late Thomas Argo and Willie Mae (Cofield) Argo. Doyle was also preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Joyce Argo and his brother, Marvin Argo.
Doyle was originally from Newell, AL and made Dayton his home in 1973. Doyle and his family provided food service for Bryan College for 27 years where he developed lifelong relationships that he treasured dearly. “Doyle loved his family and friends unconditionally and never let anyone leave his table unfed.”
He is survived by his children, John (Renee) Argo of Dayton, Paula Duren of Knoxville, Katrina (Brian) Oakley of Knoxville and Karen Argo of Dayton; seven grandchildren, Lauren Duren, Kayley Argo, Miller Duren, Kyle Argo, Zac (Bekah) King, Olivia (Thomas) Wilson and Colten King; and great-granddaughter, Alaina Wilson.
Family graveside services for Doyle will be held Thursday afternoon, September 3, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery in Marietta, GA.

The family is being cared for by the Vanderwall Funeral Home where they will receive friends Wednesday after 4:00 p.m.
