Donald Laher

Donald Clayton Laher age 75 of Dayton died Sunday February 26, 2006 in Rhea Medical Center. He was born in Grosse Point Farms, MI. on February 14, 1931 the son of the late Lamonte and Janie (McDonald) Laher.

Don graduated from Spring City High School class of 1948 and then served his country with the US Navy. He worked for the postal service and M & J Super Market until retiring from TVA after 28 years of service. Don was a member of Dayton First Baptist Church where he sang in the choir.

He is survived by his wife Helen Abel Laher of Dayton, his sons, Keith Laher of Dayton, Jay Laher of East Ridge and his daughter, Debbie Roberts of Dayton, eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, brother, Robert Laher of La Habra, CA., sister, Lanelle Russell of Rossville, GA.

Funeral services for Don will be held Wednesday at 2pm in the Dayton First Baptist Church with Rev. J. Milton Knox officiating. He will lie in state at the church one hour prior to service. Burial will be in Spring City Cemetery with full military honors.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church building fund.

The family is being served by Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton where they will receive friends Tuesday 4-9pm
