D.L. Knight

D.L. Knight, age 84 of Evensville, died at his home Wednesday, April 22, 2009. D.L. was born in Rockwood on April 1, 1925 the son of the late Taylor and Elizza (Swift) Knight. He was also preceded in death by his son, Robert Knight, daughter Ann Knight and 3 sisters and 3 brothers.

D. L. was employed as a professional house painter and had been a resident of Evensville for the past 30 years. He was of the Church of God faith.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Gracie (Berry) Knight, daughter, Rosie Stephens, sons, Johnny Knight, David Knight and Wayne Knight all of Evensville, Clyde Knight of Mobile, AL, 17 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for D.L. will be held Thursday evening at 7:00pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Freddie Lankford officiating. Graveside services will be held Friday morning at 11:00am at the Harrison Cemetery in Harrison, TN.

The family is being served by the Vanderwall Funeral Home where they will receive friends Thursday after 3:00pm.
