Denise Adele (Wood) Frizzell, age 54 of Harrison went to be with her Lord Saturday morning, June 28, 2008 in Erlanger Medical Center. Denise was born in Topeka, KS on June 11, 1954 and lived most of her life in Ooltewah. She was a graduate of Ooltewah High School and had been employed as a phlebotomist with Harrison Medical Center. She was devoted to her children and was a member of the Greenwood Baptist Church in Ooltewah.
She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Steven Scott Frizzell at home, her daughter, Carrie (Tyler) Bannon of Las Vegas, NV, her father and step-mother, Kenneth and Julia Wood of Ooltewah and her sister, Kelly (Vernon) Howard of Soddy-Daisy.
Greeting her in Heaven was her mother, Treva (Burns) Wood, her brother, Roger Wood and her grandparents, John and Cora Wood and Bill and Carrie Burns.
Funeral services for Denise will be held Tuesday afternoon at 4:00pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. James Vaughn officiating. Graveside services and burial will take place at 6:00pm Tuesday in the New McDonald Cemetery in Harrison.
The family is being served by the Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton where they will receive friends Monday from 4:00pm until 8:00pm and Tuesday from 9:00am until the time of the service.
