Lesley “Dean” Edmonds, age 65, of Spring City, passed away January 2, 2018 at Rhea Medical Center.
Dean was born September 9, 1952 in Graysville, the son of the late Clifford Edmonds and Betty (Goins) Stout. He was also preceded in death by his brother Roy Hughes and his step-father, Ted Stout.
Dean was a longtime resident of Spring City and attended Rhea County schools. He worked for Delta Carpet for 15 years and Red Food and Bi-Lo Food Stores for 24 years. His hobbies were painting & drawing, counseling at Friendship Circle in Dayton and playing with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Nancy (Adcox) Edmonds of Spring City; son Carl (Shawna) Edmonds and daughter Crystal (Jeffrey) Hamby all of Spring City; three grandchildren, Haley Hamby, Cali Edmonds and Carter Edmonds all of Spring City. He is also survived by his brothers Wesley Edmonds of Spring City and Johnny (Vicki) Stout of Graysville and his sisters, Nancy Hess of Graysville and Joyce (Jerry) Reuss of North Carolina and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Dean will be held Friday at 4:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. John Fields officiating. He will be laid to rest in Rhea Memory Gardens.
