David McRoy “Max” Webb, age 73 of Dayton Mountain, died Monday May 4, 2015 in Chattanooga. He was born October 29, 1941 in Spring City to the late Yuke and Belle (Thompson) Webb. He was also preceded in death by his son Terry Webb, two sisters Irena Christian and Wilma Monday and two brothers Jay Webb and Clarence Webb.
Max was a lifelong resident of Rhea County and Dayton Mountain and was a truck driver, welder and ferrier and he enjoyed horseback riding. He was a member of Community Baptist Church.
Max is survived by his wife Kathy (Swafford) Webb of Dayton Mountain, two brothers Junior (Shirley) Webb of Sparta and Marvin (Ruby) Webb of Harrison, three sisters Juduell Graves and Maybelle (Dean) Hill, both of Spring City and Ruth Meeks of Ohio.
Funeral services for Max will be held Wednesday at 4:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Freddie Savage and Rev. Jimmie Jewell officiating. He will be laid to rest at the Gentry Cemetery on Dayton Mountain, followed by a white dove release.

The family is being cared for by the Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton where they will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
