David Eugene Phillips, age 49 of Dayton passed away Monday November 20, 2017 at his home. He was preceded in death by his mother Mary Marie (Brown) Phillips.
David was a graduate of Rhea County High School class of 1985. He was a semi truck driver who loved to fish, hunt and raise chickens.
He is survived by his wife of eight years Melinda Phillips of Dayton, son David J. Phillips of Graysville, three daughters Nancy Marie Phillips of Graysville, twins Ashley Marie Phillips and fiancé (Cody Stewart) of Sale Creek, Tonya Nicole (Japheth) Long of Soddy Daisy, father Tommie Phillips of Dayton, brother Thomas Dale (Terri) Phillips of Dayton, three sisters Sherry (Ricky) Pressley of Hixson, Brenda Gale Cronan of Dayton, and Amie Redden of Ft. Oglethorpe, GA.
Funeral services for David will be held Saturday 12 noon in the funeral home chapel with Rev. John Fields officiating. He will be laid to rest in Rhea Memory Gardens.
