David Reece Ashburn, age 76 of Evensville, died Thursday morning June 11, 2015 at Life Care of Rhea County. He was born June 17, 1938 in Crossville to the late James and Thelma (Gibson) Ashburn.
A resident of Rhea County most of his life, he worked as a laborer and enjoyed playing his guitar and fishing. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Jewell (Trusley) Ashburn of Evensville.

A graveside service will be held Monday morning at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. John Fields officiating. He will be laid to rest in Buttram Cemetery.
The family is being cared for by the Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton.
