Pastor Connie Goins, age 72 of Decatur, Tennessee received her ultimate healing and went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 while at home surrounded by family and friends.
Connie was born on March 18, 1947 in Sale Creek, TN, the daughter of the late Tillman and Frances Fuller.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Pastor Kenneth Goins. They were married 44 years before Ken’s passing in August of 2008. Her parents, Tillman and Frances Fuller, her brothers, Muss and Gifford Fuller and, her grandson, Gunnar Goins.
She is survived by her sons, Pastor Kenneth “Chris” Goins (Janet) of Birmingham, AL, Pastor Kelly Goins (Denise), Stephen Goins (Angela), and Kasey Goins (Tiffany), all of Decatur, TN, her brother, John Fuller (Pat) of Sale Creek, TN, and fourteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Connie loved her family, church, friends and loving and serving others. She and her husband co-founded and led Watts Bar Church of God 36 years ago. The church continues to thrive and serve its community today. She also founded and led the annual Chosen Ladies Conference. For decades Connie directed dramas, dance and church plays. She also loved taking her children, grandchildren and friends on trips to Dollywood.
Her Celebration of Life and burial will take place at the Watts Bar Church of God in Ten Mile, TN on Friday, September 27, 2019. The family will receive friends at 3:00 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Life at 5:00 p.m.
