Clyde “Poop” McCoy, age 66 of Dayton, died Thursday evening, September 13, 2012 at his home. He was born January 27, 1946 in Rhea County to the late Clyde and Gladys (Nichols) McCoy. He was also preceded in death by his wife Bobby Dean McCoy and his sister, Ellen Sue McCoy.
Clyde was a farmer and loved to collect “second-hand goods”. He was of the Church of God faith. He is survived by his brothers Robert McCoy and Bob McCoy, sisters Rosie Hoffman and Margaret Rogers, all of Dayton and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Funeral services for Clyde will be held Saturday at 7:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Kevin Glazer officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Cranmore Cove Cemetery Sunday at 2:00 pm.

The family is being served by the Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton where they will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 until 7:00.
