Clinton Talmadge King, age 77 of Dayton, died Friday, January 16, 2009 at Rhea Medical Center in Dayton. He was born January 3, 1932 in Sand Springs, TN, the son of the late Rowe Wesley King and Alice Vainy (Burdett) King.
Clinton lived in Dayton for many years and had been employed by Greyhound Bus Lines in Dallas, TX. He served his country in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Pleasantdale Baptist Church. Clinton is survived by his sons, James, Joe and Jack King, all of TX, his daughter Laurie King of Dayton, TN,, brother Melvin King of IN, sisters Margie Williams of MI, Dorothy Caraway of Evensville and Barbara Walcott of Dayton, 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Clinton will be held Saturday at 7:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Tommy Eddington and Rev. Rick Mooneyham officiating. Burial will be in the Hurst Cemetery.
