Cleo Elizabeth Hickman of Evensville passed away August 26, 2015 at Hospice Care Center of Chattanooga. She was born May 21, 1931 to the late Huse Crowe and Rachel (Hard) Crowe in Evensville. She was also preceded in death by her first husband Manuel Tharpe and granddaughter Angela Wood.
Cleo lived in Evensville all of her life where she had worked and retired from Shipley Basket Factory. She enjoyed fishing and loved flowers. She was also of the Baptist faith.
She was survived by her husband of fifty six years, Bobby D. Hickman of Evensville, four sons Larry (Vicki) Tharpe of Evensville, Johnny (Claudia) Tharpe of Dayton, Tony (Beate) Hickman of Evensville, Danny (Tammie) Hickman of Cleveland, two daughters Judy (Rev. Tom) Herrell of Evensville, Vicki (Doug) Clark of Spring City, one sister Margie Shipley Cox of Dayton, 20 grandchildren, and 28 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday evening at 5:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev.Tom Herrell officiating. She will be laid to rest in Rhea Memory Gardens Friday at 11:00 A.M..
