Clarence Sparks, age 68 of Dayton, passed away early Thursday morning, August 5, 2021 at Hospice of Chattanooga. He was born on September 16, 1952 in Peru, IN, the son of the late Lemon Sparks and Ethel Ousley Sparks. Clarence was also preceded in death by his wife, Rita Harlene (Sloan) Sparks.
Clarence lived in Dayton since 2006. He served his country with the US Army. Clarence was a coating machine operator at Carpet Mills and a member of the Dayton Worship Center.
He is survived by his daughters, Amy Sparks of Trion, GA and Rebecca (Tio Rodriguez) Sparks of Chattanooga; seven grandchildren, Kayla Goudy of Trion, GA, Alicia Garcia, Luis (Rosalina) Sparks, Victor Garcia, Delmar Roblero, Yajaira Sparks and Anderson Rodriguez all of Chattanooga; and eight great grandchildren.
Clarence will be laid to rest at the Chattanooga National Cemetery next to his wife, Rita.
