Clarence Lee Henley, age 55 of Dayton, passed away Tuesday July 28, 2015 at Erlanger Hospital. He was born August 1, 1959 to the late James and Dottie (Dobbs) Henley. He is also preceded in death by a son Ryan S. Henley, sister Sue Walker, and sister in law Pat Suttles.
Clarence has lived in Dayton almost forty years. He was a truck driver. He enjoyed riding the trains and collecting cars. He loved spending time with his daughter visiting Chickamauga Battlefield and taking his grandsons to the Smokey Mountains. Clarence most treasured spending time with his family. He was also a member of First Baptist Church in Dayton.
He is survived by his wife of twenty years Billie Suttles Henley of Dayton, a daughter Erica McBay of Dayton, two grandsons; L.J. and Kaleb Hearon, four brothers ;James (LaShaunda) Henley, Dee (Jennie) ,Tim Henley all of Dayton and David Gardner of Nashville , five sisters; Teresia Henley and Judy Hancock all of Dayton Marvalene Chambers, Sandy Gardner of Dayton ,Vicey Gardner of Etowah, mother in law Betty Suttles of Dayton, Brother in law Chuck ( Arlene) Suttles of Dayton, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services for Clarence will be held Friday at 3:00p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev.Milton Knox officiating. He will be laid to rest in Rhea Memory Gardens followed by a white dove release.
