Charlotte Dorothy Jensen, age 84 of Dayton went to be with her Lord and her husband Saturday morning at Rhea Medical Center. Charlotte was born on January 24, 1924 in Jersey City, NJ, the daughter of the late Martin and Berdine (Herdal) Christiansen. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Irving Jensen.
Charlotte lived most of her life in Dayton where she was a homemaker and a member of Grace Bible Church. She was a former Deputy Trustee for Rhea County and loved her grandchildren and traveling.
She is survived by her two daughters, Donna (Phil) Carter of Chattanooga and Karen (Steve) Collins of Flowery Branch, GA, her son, Bob (Becky) Jensen of Pembroke Pines, FL, four grandchildren, her sister, Ruth (Warren) Johnson of Voorhees, NJ, numerous nieces and nephews and also cousins in Norway.
Funeral services for Charlotte will be held Monday evening at 7:00pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Steve Collins and Dr. Doug Russell officiating. Graveside services will be held in Rhea Memory Gardens Tuesday morning at 11:00am followed by a white dove release.
The family is being served by the Vanderwall Funeral Home where they will meet friends after 4:00pm Monday.
