Charles “Charlie” David Thomas, age 68 of Dayton, passed away on October 15, 2026, at Rhea Medical Center. He was born in Knoxville on December 6, 1957, the son of the late Charles Samuel and Winifred Jo (Winburn) Thomas.

Charlie made his home in Dayton in 2018, after living in Soddy-Daisy. He was employed as a welder and fabricator. He had a great love for motorcycles and animals.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Lori (Jones) Thomas of Dayton, and his daughter by choice, Chansia (Adrian) Mercer of Soddy-Daisy.

A Celebration of Life for Charlie will be announced at a later date.
