Charles Ray Reynolds

Charles Ray Reynolds, age 73, of Dayton died Wednesday September 25, 2013 at Erlanger in Chattanooga. He was born May 17, 1940 in Kentucky to the late Ray and Charlyne (Gill) Reynolds. He was also preceded in death by his daughter Elizabeth Hamby.
A resident of Dayton most of his life, he was a graduate of Rhea Central High School Class of 1959. He was employed by the Oster Corporation and was a purchasing agent for Goodman Company. He was chairman of the Dayton Planning Commission and the B.Z.A. for over 30 years. He was an avid golfer and was a member of the Dayton Golf and Country Club.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years Shirley (Holloway) Reynolds of Soddy Daisy, sons, Charles Ray Reynolds, II and Mark (Crickett) Smith, both of Dayton and Robert (Tammie) Smith of Pikeville, his sister JoAnn (the late Bill) Morgan of Spring City and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Charles Ray will be Saturday at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Clyde Fitzgerald officiating. He will be laid to rest in Rhea Memory Gardens.
