Charles Russell Fredley age 75 of Cookeville died Saturday, April 27, 2019 in the Spring City Health Care Center. He was born in Alliance, OH on February 9, 1944 the son of the late Russell Woodrow Fredley and Lois (Husk) Fredley.
Chuck had been a resident of Cookeville since 1986. He retired from Russell Stover Candies in Cookeville and was of the Baptist faith. He served his country with the US Air Force in Viet Nam and Thailand. Chuck was an avid knife maker and collector and enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Wendie (Perkins) Fredley of Cookeville, his son, Russell (Shelley) Fredley of Cookeville, daughters, Melissa (Joe) Grimes of Dayton and Terri Ann Holcomb of Tucson, AZ, his four grandchildren, Sara Fredley, Ella Fredley, Brayden Grimes and Mason Grimes and his sister Pat (Roy) Rush of Mountain Home, AR, and a special young man, Cristian Moreno.
Graveside services with military honors will be held Wednesday morning at 10:30am in Chattanooga National Cemetery with Rev. Mike Breeden officiating.
