Charles Richard Cook

May 15, 1948 — October 14, 2015

Charles Richard Cook died on Wednesday October 14, 2015 in his Dayton residence at age 67. He fought cancer bravely for 10 ½ months. He was a retired Nuclear Power Operator from TVA Watts Bar Nuclear Plant. He worked at TVA for 26 years and retired for 23 years. He had a B.S. degree in Physics from UTC and was a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society. He loved watching Jeopardy and working crossword problems every morning. He often embarrassed his family by doing Elvis impressions for strangers. He also loved all kinds of sports. He grew up in the Church of Christ faith. He was a devoted husband and always made sure he took care of his wife. He will be greatly missed!
He was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Sue Fry and his parents Richard Charlie and Eileen Jackson Davis Cook.
He is survived by his wife Annalee Pitts of Dayton, one brother David (Vickie) Cook of South Fulton, TN, two children Garrick Cook and Richie (Robin) Cook of Paducah, KY, two step-children, Dr. James Pitts of Logan, UT and Martha (Robby) Ervin of Soddy Daisy, TN, five grandchildren, five step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A private memorial will be held on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. for family members at Vanderwall Funeral Home.
